Cicoil Intros Flexible Thermocouple Cables and Assemblies

Valencia, CA — Cicoil has introduced its Highly Flexible Thermocouple Cables. Unlike traditional Thermocouple cables, this version has been designed for continuous motion, tight routing, excessive temperatures (-65 to +260°C) and extremely harsh environments.

The flexible 28 AWG Flat Thermocouple Cable is available in Type J and K versions with 1 to 8 conductors, and is excellent for temperature sensing, control instrumentation, heating systems and automated equipment applications. The compact, flame retardant solution is free of halogens and contaminants, and is engineered to provide space and weight savings, durability and mission-critical reliability.

The company's patented extrusion process allows each thermocouple conductor to be placed in a flat profile, precisely controlling the spacing of each component, insulation thickness and the overall cable shape.

The tear resistant Flexx-Sil® jacket is also self-healing from small punctures and will not wear, crack or deform from long-term exposure, tight routing, vibration, heat, continuous flexing, water, ice, steam, sunlight, humidity, ozone, UV light, autoclave and many chemicals.

Standard off-the-shelf Type J & K Thermocouple Cables are available for immediate delivery and cable assemblies, complete with connectors, and are offered in 3, 6, and 12 foot (0.9, 1.8, and 3.65m) lengths. Custom designs are also available with minimum lead times. In addition, Cicoil offers anti-friction coatings, impact-resistant Super Tuff jacketing and custom shape designs by request.

The Flexx-Sil Jacketed Thermocouple Cables are UL and CSA Recognized, CE Conforming, RoHS 2 and REACH Compliant, Class 1 Clean Room Rated and are manufactured in an automated, climate-controlled environment.
