effectiveness and will utilize proprietary blends of alloy core materials that are optimized for high temperature stability, high DC bias capability, low core losses as well as minimizing oxidation. Designers of industrial and automotive DC/DC converters and other power applications where high power density is a requirement will benefit from the rust resistant over-molded construction and the wide operating temperature rating. The new molded inductors are operational from -40 to +155°C making them suitable for powertrain applications where environmental conditions are demanding.
Both devices are targeted at designers who require a buck, boost or buck-boost inductor for voltage regulation at fast switching frequencies up to 3MHz but also need to save space. In addition, the HA72E series is qualified to AEC-Q200 certification for automotive applications. Further features of the range include DC bias current of up to 45A and inductance levels ranging from 0.10µH to 33µH at a maximum dimension of 6.8 x 7.3 x 3mm.
The HM72E and HA72E are available in tape-and-reel packaging.
