ECD Joins Trans-Tec At GlobalTRONICS

Milwaukie, OR, September 8. 2008
– ECD of Milwaukie, OR, USA, developer of a full line of thermal profiling products, will join TransTechnology Pte Ltd (Trans-Tec) in Booth G32 at GlobalTRONICS in Singapore September 9-12, where they will exhibit ECD’s recently introduced V-M.O.L.E.® thermal profiler.

Designed to complement the ECD family of board profilers such as the twenty-channel MEGAM.O.L.E.®20 and  SuperM.O.L.E.® Gold, the V-M.O.L.E.® from ECD provides a fast, easy, and very affordable way to both verify and specify thermal profiles.  GlobalTRONICS attendees will relate to the V-M.O.L.E.®’s particular suitability for use in high volume runs, where one of the challenges encountered is the repeated profiling of the same prototype PCB to assure that target profiles are met.  The V-M.O.L.E® enables greatly simplified verification of a target profile through strategic placement of a minimal number of thermocouples.  This saves time in TC attachment, data analysis, and cost in TC replacement.

V-M.O.L.E.® is powered by ECD’s MAP software, which will also process data from non-ECD profilers/data loggers.  With ECD’s product reliability and robust software, V-M.O.L.E.® generates savings in production time and cost.  An engineer predefines the profile “Go/No-Go” criteria in the “Target-10” portion of the software, and the production operator verifies it with a single push of the V-M.O.L.E.®’s “OK Button,” a feature unique to ECD and first introduced in the MEGAM.O.L.E.®20, also being displayed at the show.  In addition, operators are given warnings on battery, core temperature, and TC connectivity to eliminate wasted runs.

These true technology improvements should prove ideal for production environments needing to ensure ongoing quality, while maximizing product throughput.  V-M.O.L.E.®’s affordability for multiple lines, unique readiness indicators, Target-10 software, TC placement guide and rechargeable lithium polymer battery all contribute to greater throughput, and true low cost of ownership.  Visit
