Digi-Key Adds BeagleBoard Development Board and C&K ELUM Series Switches
Thief River Falls, MN — Digi-Key Corp. is shipping Revision C of the popular BeagleBoard from BeagleBoard.org. The latest version offers increased design flexibility with twice the memory (256MB RAM), additional high-speed USB port, and an LCD expansion connector. Based on a Texas Instruments Inc. (TI) OMAP3530 processor, the BeagleBoard bridges desktop and embedded development by delivering laptop-like performance in a pocket size, 3 x 3-in. form factor for innovative projects ranging from robots, netbooks, and mobile Internet devices to entire Linux distributions and gaming frameworks.
In another announcement, Digi-Key said that it is now stocking C&K Components' ELUM series switches. Designed to eliminate the need for separate LEDs and light pipes on printed circuit boards, these switches have a 6mm profile and are available in through-hole and surface-mount configurations. The switch has silver- or gold-plated contacts that range in ratings from 0.01mA to 250mA and from 20mV to 50VDC. The latching version (push-push) can be specified for switching functions such as mode select and power on/off, while the momentary version is suitable for test, reset and notification functions.
