Finecut Laser Die Cutting Station from Spartanics
Finecut laser die-cutting station.
Rolling Meadows, IL — Spartanics has introduced a Finecut Laser Die Cutting Station® is described as the world's only in-line laser die cutter. It is powered by the company's software that automates cutting sequences for optimum web speeds, has a built-in job run estimation tool, seamlessly cuts and stitches images to create parts in unlimited part lengths, reloads jobs in seconds, to provide defect-free cutting as fast as 100 meters/minute web speed with a single laser source.

The Laser Die Cutting Station can be built into print lines of all types — including offset, digital, and screen, and/or positioned at any point in an assembly chassis. In a growing roster of applications, these in-line laser die cutters are preferable to rotary die cutting stations both for higher quality cutting, lower costs, and quicker job turnarounds by eliminating time needed for tool production.

The Laser Die Cutting Station is available both for new lines or as a retrofit into older production lines, and can be configured with laser powers ranging from 100 watts to 1000 watts. Material cutting areas range from 200 x 200mm (7.87 x 7.87-in.) to 600 x 600mm (23.62 x 23.62-in.) depending on the application. Laser spot size can range from 210 to 280µ (0.0083 to 0.01102-in.).

X, Y and Theta cut-to-print registration can be achieved with a wide range of substrates and components including plastics, metals, adhesives used in label applications, paper, textiles, abrasives, flexible solar materials, RFID tags, membrane switches and other flexible circuitry, among others.
