Ultra-Low Power High Voltage from EMCO
Low-power DC/DC converter.
Sutter Creek, CA — Ultra Low Power (ULP) Series DC-DC converters from EMCO are designed to meet the demands of portable, battery-powered applications. The ULP Series provides output voltages from 0 to 500VDC through 5000VDC, while consuming less than 2 milliwatts of power. This translates to 4500 hours of operation on just two AA lithium batteries.
The output voltage is regulated, programmable, and can deliver up to 4 watts of power on demand at >85 percent efficiency. Proprietary packaging produces a miniature module just 1/2-in. (12.7mm) high and weighing less than 2 ounces (56.7 grams), suitable characteristics for handheld applications.
Designed specifically for "green" applications, the ULP Series also includes a shutdown pin which drops current consumption below 10 micro-amps (µA). Standard input voltage range is 5.4 to 7.4V and models are available in positive and negative outputs. Operating temperature range is available in versions for both -20 +70°C and -55 to +85°C.
