Astrodyne Expands DC/DC Converter Line
Mansfield, MA — With the recent acquisition of RO Associates, Astrodyne has expanded its line of DC/DC converters to include the high-reliability, high-density MicroVerter Series. This series ranges from 200-300 Watts available in 3/4 brick. The converters provide an operating temperature range of -40 to +100°C (-55°C optional), current sharing, remote sense, switching frequency synch option, and trimmable output for rugged and extreme applications.
The MicroVerter Series includes the 2nd Generation Series (UV-164) available with higher power and efficiency, same pin out — a drop in, identical trim function, and available with full SnPb (no pure tin), SnPb solder (5/6 RoHS), or lead-free RoHS options. Construction features that drive the higher performance of the new series include automated assembly, low capacitance insulated metal substrate technology, as well as the company's 4th generation planar transformer technology.
RO products provide module-based power conversion solutions, which are now a mainstay in military, industrial and other harsh environment markets. Current products are deployed on airborne, shipboard and land vehicle applications, as well as a variety of industrial and medical products.
