Faster Manual Inspection System from Sonoscan
Faster ultrasonic microscope inspection system.
Elk Grove Village, IL — Sonoscan has introduced its new FastLine Acoustic Microscope. Specifically designed for accelerated inspection throughput in manual screening of microelectronic devices on the manufacturing floor, it is the industry's newest generation of ultrasonic test equipment. \par \When the first tray is done, it is removed and the second tray slides into place so that scanning can begin immediately with the push of a single button. Simultaneous scanning and loading on this manual system means that operation can be continuous to yield the highest throughput.

The new system also has a minimized footprint, a new electronics platform, and Sonolytics, a highly intuitive user interface. Every detail of the new system has been engineered to match the way customers use acoustic microscopes for non-automated production and process control. Simultaneous loading and scanning with the company's special carrier system allows one JEDEC style tray or reference tray to be scanned while a second tray is being safely loaded.

The new, more ergonomic design helps maximize productivity and improves the overall operator experience while minimizing the instrument footprint. The new Sonolytics® Operator Interface, designed for the operator, allows technicians to work with simplified and expanded features for production/process use in multiple languages.

In addition, the system also has a new electronics platform to meet current and next-generation applications. New Movement Map technology delivers precise transducer positioning, while the Visual Poly-Gate mode allows for simple and instant multiple-depth imaging.
