Advanced Motion Controls Intros Embedded Servo Drives
Embedded servo drive.
Camarillo, CA — Advanced Motion Controls has introduced its DZX series of digital networked, embedded, extended environment servo drives to deal with highly demanding applications. OEMs are typically challenged when attempting to implement motion control electronics exposed to extreme or harsh conditions.
Now available are servo drives specifically made to handle outdoor, mobile and otherwise rugged environment applications. With extended temperature range, shock/vibration protection and overall increased robustness, DZX plug-in modules provide choices of either CAN open or RS-485/232 networks.
The servo drives can control brushed, brushless or voice-coil motors under conditions where other products cannot perform.
The devices' capabilities include: ambient operating temperatures from -40 to +75°C (-40 to +167°F); thermal shutdown protection at +85°C (185°F); full temperature range cycling in about 2 minutes; Shock up to 15g's at 11 msec, +sine; vibration up to 30g's rms on all 3 axes; light in weight at only 105 grams (3.7 oz); 10 to 80VDC input power range.
When precise control of motion is required in some of the harshest environments, the DZX's capabilities can meet or exceed survivability requirements. In fact, many design considerations were engineered in advance to assist OEMs in meeting military standards compliance.
