Christopher Unveiling New SPI Unit

Santa Ana, CA — Christopher Associates Inc. is unveiling a new SPI (Solder Paste Inspection) unit, as well as contributing to the technical sessions. In addition, the company is showing the MAGNUS HD TREND from Tagarno, which reportedly has rapidly achieved industry acceptance as a highly useful inspection and manufacturing tool. With magnification from 4-325X, HD imaging and superior ergonomics the instrument can be used in any number of different operations and different departments including inspection, data capture, rework, manual assembly process, and in-process inspections.

Christopher is also introducing the new Koki S01X7C48-M500 low silver alloy solder paste. With spiraling metals costs, Koki's new, patented formulation is said to offer perfect melting and wetting (<0.3mm dia. CSP 0603 Chip) at super fine pitch, low halide content (CL+BR<1500ppm), and excellent printability and process parameters, while substantially reducing material costs.

As the exclusive North American distributor for OTC Solder Mask, Christopher is showcasing the R-500 series, which meets all industry standards and is accepted worldwide by all major end-users. In China, OTC manufactures a complete line of LPI solder mask colors and finishes for North America's quick-turn, prototype market. Also on display is the Akila XR-3 X-Ray inspection system from WKK, which reportedly offers exceptional performance for the inspection of high density electronics assemblies including µBGA and CSP packages. In addition, the company is premiering the Semblant Plasma Finish (SPF), a new patented solution for printed circuit board surface finishing as well as many other significant protective applications.
